Events and People
On Sunday afternoon 26th August 2012, after taking the Service, Mr Dan Priester, Elder and Mr Bob Cowie, son-in-law of founder member Mrs Chris Sloan,
catered for nearly 40 members, adherents and friends, and some children, who came for a barbecue to celebrate the 50th birthday of the congregation. In attendance were founder members Anne Turner, Chris Sloan, Pawel Sliwka and Margaret Sloan
together with many of their children, who were baptised years ago, and many of whom have children of their own.
Mairi Cowie led the children present in singing 'Happy birthday, St Columba'.
It was good to see so many in the church; if they were all confirmed and regular attenders it would be even more wonderful.

On Saturday 28th April 2012 David had the privilege of baptising Felix William Frederick Tervo
the infant son of Juha Matti Tapani Kuurne and Eva Kristina Tervo a Finnish couple who now live in Cannes in the south of France.
The baptism took place in Forter Castle, Glenisla a few miles north of Blairgowrie in the southern Highlands.

On Saturday 21st April 2012 Pastor David McNally had the pleasure of officiating at the marriage
of Alex Sloan (son of Elder John and grandson of founder member Chris) to Claire Brolly.
The wedding took place in the church and it was good to see it so full.

Easter Sunday 2010 service was well attended.
With our chairman having to go to work, and our treasurer away on holiday,
we still had 19 adults and 12 children.
